Learn your family's Holocaust survival story.

Before you begin learning about your grandparent's journey in the Holocaust, you must understand what the Holocaust was. Read through the provided material to learn about the Holocaust.

Once you have finished reading and understood what the Holocaust was, it is time to start learning about your grandparent's story. Complete the research worksheet about your grandparent's journey. If your grandparent is still alive, ask the questions to your grandparents. If they are no longer alive you can ask your parents to tell you what they know and ask family and close friends to find out what they know. You can also Google their name to see if they were interviewed in the past. Answer each question in as much detail as possible.

The next step is to see if you can find pictures of your grandparent growing up before, during, and after the Holocaust. See if you can also find any of your grandparent's belongings from the Holocaust.

Once you have completed the above steps, write your grandfather's story. Use the guide we have supplied you with to learn how you can take your worksheet answers and pictures and turn them into a story about your grandparent's life before, after, and during the war.

Once you have finished writing your family’s story and have reviewed and edited it multiple times, submit it through this form so we can add them to our Stories of Survivors page on our website.
